Tuesday Morning : Daily Affirmation : FEAR . . .

Mornings are becoming really important to me. Being a workgat-home-mom, there’s no such thing as a day off. So, mornings when my oldest is at school and Batman and baby sleep, the silence is Golden. This morning I’m pushing myself to Practice Practice Practice. It’s a mindset I’m trying to stick with. I have so many great ideas and little FEAR monsters keep trying to take my courage away from me.

If you don’t believe a thing like fear can be crippling, you haven’t had a real conversation with yourself. Plain and simple. So, baby steps. That’s what I’m doing. Taking super ant-sized baby steps when I need to, and giant leaps when I really try to. I believe that’s called LIFE, ladies and gentlemen. LIFE…
**Today’s Affirmation : Fear is False Evidence Appearing Real ** You can’t take a mental fear and hold it in your hands, can you? It can’t jump out of your brain and find a weapon to kill you with, can it? (I hope not 😑) So, what exactly IS there to fear?… I think I just saw it click for you. Say the affirmation whenever you feel a twinge of fear bubbling up.  Close your eyes , if you have to, and say it. Feel it. Remember it. It’ll get you through the day.

Let’s dig a little deeper, here. So, it can’t kill you. Hell, you can’t even see it. Taking that step into something scary (like art) won’t kill you, so why not? I gave my fear a phrase and now it no longer scares me. That’s the key.  Give it a little life just to get rid of it. Give it a silly face and, mentally, slam the door on it. You think I’m kidding, nope. Totally serious. We have such powerful minds, we could conquer a full day and still have time to make love at sunset. We have the mental power to conjure up tears or come up with a cool project for a competition. So, why not? Imagination creates worlds. Never forget that.☺️

Daily Sketch Past a FEAR

Happy Tuesday, Beautiful Souls. ️❤️ I have some fears to conquer and “Lyme Warriors” banners to finish.

Night Owl Chronicles : Lyme Warriors Project & Creative Fear Blocks. . .

It’s really really coming together. Just check out those colors! Match made in silky fabric heaven. 😇❤️ How are my fellow night owls doing tonight? ❤️
It’s time for a bit of randomness to help sooth my tired soul. I wanna talk about CREATIVE FEAR for a sec. Creative Fear is that block we sometimes get right when we are about to sit down and start crafting. You know the one. 😏 The , I-know-I-need-to-sew-but-I-have-to-vacuum-first block. 🙄 Oh! Or the, if-I-don’t-throw-a-third-load-of-laundry-in-RIGHT-NOW-my-head-will-surely-explode block. Sound familiar? Yeah, me too. Almost everyday, I’m talking myself in and out of project I’m excited to work on. So, if I’m so excited , why do I keep avoiding it? Creative Fear that I’ll screw up. Yep, something so simple and non existent makes getting my day started that much harder. I know I can’t be alone in this.

Look, the first thing you have to do, as I did, is accept that fear is normal and even healthy. If you keep ignoring it, you’ll keep ignoring the creativity clawing it’s way out of your brain. You’ll slip up and miss a great opportunity to someone who took that scary first step. Once you acknowledge it, you can think of the worse case scenario. After you do and realize that the worst case scenario isn’t so bad, you’ll decide whether or not you use your fear as a crutch (creative block) or the necessary blocks to reach your creative goals?

I’m just saying. You are not alone and you will get through this creative fear block. Trust me. Because there are millions of these moments you will encounter for the rest of your life. Why not take one scary leap so that all the others you come across don’t seem so far to jump anymore. Happy night owning, fellow artisans. I hope this helped someone out there. ☺️ Do you have any all-the-time creative fear blocks?

D. I. Y  Pillsbury Monkey Bread *SOOO GOOOOOD*

Okay, here goes:

You’ll need:

*2 cans Pillsbury cinnamon bun cans

*1 cup (two sticks)  unsalted butter

*3/4 cup sugar

*1/2 cup brown sugar

*2 tea spoons cinnamon

* 1 gal ziplock bag for shaking up or you can use a bowl

* bunt pan
Oven on : 350 and bake for 27 to 35 minutes. I pulled mine out right at 27 minutes, but not everyone likes there’s as soft and dough like as I like mine. ☺️
**For making the sugar in a bag mix : the sugar and half of the brown sugar

** For the liquid goodness :

  – melt the butter (25 to 30 secs in the microwave)

  – add the other half of the brown guitar and the cinnamon

Stir until well mixed.

Enjoy! I’d love to hear what you think! It’s so sickly sweet and good I feel guilty eating it, but I absolutely love it. ❤️❤️

Next Project design choices : What background should I choose? ?

okay, I’m flooding your time line for a sec. I need some feedback. I have a friend who is battling Lyme (Lymie, for some). She’s the sweetest person I know and is like a “super Nanny”  to any child around. In other words, if there’s a kid around, her ears and eyes are peeked to step in. It’s the funniest thing. ❤️ So, I’m making a Lyme Disease Awareness collection in her honor. See the background design? That’s what I need help choosing. Feel free to comment of the one you like most! Here we go! ❤️

Design number 1:

I just loved the idea of looking to a night sky for comfort on those days when dealing is just top heavy a burden. I’m a star gamer, myself, so it was a no Brainer. Hey, what do you think of the purple one next to it? 😮

Design 2:

This was more like an attempt and something different . . . I’m not ashamed to admit that. 😒

Design 3:

The crowd favorite on my Instagram. I’ve already chosen. But still, which would you have gone with? I’m just curious as to what people like and dislike. Thanks guys.
